i love this bike it is fast safe and affordable great bike
Riding Times GT73 Pro -AMAZING!- I was scared to order an online ebike - especially an emoto. My plan was to use this machine as my daily-driver to work and as an emoto on the logging roads and mountains of the PNW (Pacific North West). Fearful because I wasn't sure if it would meet my expectations of driving in the westcoast rains and up steep inclines on the mountainous terrain. Well, this machine has surpassed and exceeded my expectations! The two packages (one big, one small) were delivered to my door. It was about an hour to properly assemble and tighten ALL fasteners on the bike. The two batteries were topped up with the two provided chargers. And the test ride commenced - everything on this machine worked flawlessly and to perfection - and still does today. For the rain, mud, and snow conditions of the PNW, I have made a few light weight, easy modifications to protect the battery compartment area - this keeps the moisture and mud from entering the undercarriage. As for the hills - I am 6ft at 170lbs and this bike has no issues climbing. In fact, I doubled my wife for a total of 285lbs and this machine performed like I was a solo rider. I find the torque and "soft start" (as some have called it) a perfect compliment to the performance as to not overwhelm the rear hub clutch assembly and keep traction to the rear tires. Remember, this is a hub drive not a mid drive. Worried about the torque and top speed? The torque has enough punch to pop wheelies from a stand still in both Standard and Turbo modes - enough said. The top speed? I have reached 70kph (43.4mph) which is plenty fast for the city region I live in and nobody is going that fast in our forests - have you ever crashed in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception? It's a long crawl out! Let's talk battery: this machine comes with two batteries and dual chargers - I have not done a complete range test as of yet. That said, as my daily-driver to work, I am travelling 12 kms (7.5 miles) each weekday. I run only one battery (yes, the power set-up allows you to ride with only one battery - this is genius because it instantly makes the bike 15lbs lighter) and get approximately 35 kms (21.7 miles) per charge on the one battery - remember, I live in a hilly area and it is fall/winter here getting down to 6*C (42.8*F) - both factors having a major impact on battery performance (it's the same with our electric car). And... I don't plan on completely draining the batteries so I always have about 25% left when I recharge. Overall, I am very happy with the range so far. Lets talk PROS and CONS. CONS: The lack of moisture control in a rainy environment - As I previously mentioned, this was an easy fix. I simply cut out rubber underlay and zip-tied it to the frame (hopefully this will show in the image). This add-on was super easy and doesn't modify the bike in any way as to void the warranty. I also used this underlay to insert between the frame and the battery mount holders - there is a gap (depending how the frame was welded) and to fill the gap, I folded rubber underlay to support the battery holder. With the gap, there was a clunking sound as the weight of the batteries would hit the frame on bumps. The battery meter between the display and the actual battery can differ a little bit - this is minor and I think the display indicates range and how much instant usage is taking place at the present moment. I just refer to the main battery test lights if I need to know actual range. PROS: where to start?: The delivery and packaging was flawless - everything was unscathed and perfect. Assembly was a breeze. Functionality is perfect. HIGHLIGHTS: the machine itself! The display, the headlight, adjustable brakes, handlebars, waterproof switches/buttons/horn, torque and power, hill climb ability, the seat is comfortable, the full size of the bike, having peddles to make it appear city street legal (I have not had any issues with law enforcement... and yes I see them/they see me quite often on my regular routes - don't drive like an idiot and you won't have any issues), batteries (some folks have mentioned issues with removing/inserting the batteries - it's pretty simple people. Just take your time and don't try to force them.), They slide in and slide out - don't forget to lock them), range is more than adequate - I'm guessing approximately 80-100kms (62miles) depending on climate and temp. I'm super happy that I haven't had any issues and the ebike, emoto, machine, whatever you want to call it, is running flawlessly! I will keep an eye on this company as I am looking for machines for both my son and daughter. I hope this review isn't too AI sounding and I hope the mods ideas help others in rainy locations... I really do live in the PNW. Thanks Riding Times for your quality and professionalism.
